Dr. Alan Cherkasky

Dr. Alan Cherkasky has served as FOX 11's key resource for health and medical information for over twenty years. Dr. Al, as he is known on TV, works in Kaukauna. He is a board-certified Family Physician with Aurora Health Center.

Dr. Al earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1974. In 1977 he earned his MD degree from the Chicago Medical School. He followed that up with an internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine along with the University of Texas-Houston. Dr. Al began his practice along with his father, Dr. Simon Cherkasky in 1981.

An avid runner, Dr. Al routinely participates in marathons and triathlons. He often lends his expertise in this field of athleticism to FOX 11 viewers during the days leading up to local running events.

Dr. Al lives in Kaukauna with his wife and four children.
