Laura Smith

Laura Smith co-anchors FOX 11 News on the weekends along with Mark Leland.  Laura comes to Green Bay from WJFW NBC 12 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, where she worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor.  This is actually Laura's second stint at FOX 11, having interned here during college.

Laura has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with an emphasis on Radio, TV and Film, as well as a Broadcast Journalism degree. Laura speaks fluent Italian, after having studied in Florence, Italy. After college, Laura relocated to Italy, where she worked with the Associated Press Rome Bureau.

Laura is a native of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, where she attended Sevastopol High School. She earned numerous awards as the school’s newspaper editor. Laura is glad to be living closer to home. Needless to say, Laura's family is also thrilled to be able to watch her on TV.

In her spare time, Laura likes to bike, rollerblade, water-ski and snow ski. She also enjoys shopping, reading books, watching movies and traveling.
