Any parent will tell you kids grow up way too fast. But don't judge things based on when your child gets his or her first cell phone.
A new study from the Pew Research Center shows the most common ages are either 12 or 13. That may keep going down, too, because things continue to change quickly.
In the study, none of the 17-year-olds surveyed received a cell phone when they were younger than 10. Ten percent of the 12-year-olds did.
A majority of kids have a cell phone before the age of 16.
Not seen on the video graphic is the fact that about 25 percent of kids do not have cell phones at all.
