Milwaukee (AP) - "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest will be the narrator for the third season of a PBS documentary produced in the Milwaukee area.
The PBS documentary series "Pioneers of Television" is produced by Steve Boettcher and Michael Trinklein and has been twice nominated for Emmys.
It revisits old shows and stars using original interviews, clips and dramatic re-creations.
Boettcher calls Seacrest "a major television star, and an ardent fan of television's pioneers."
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the upcoming episodes are: "Funny Ladies," on Jan. 15; "Prime Time Soaps" on Jan. 15; "Superheroes" on Jan. 29; and "Miniseries" on Feb. 5.
