Remembering Betty the groundhog

The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay is remembering Betty.

Betty was their beloved groundhog who died suddenly in November of a rare intestinal cancer. Betty was brought to the sanctuary years ago with a head injury and couldn't be released back into the wild.

Lori Bankson from the sanctuary says losing Betty is like losing a family member for the staff. But they are hopeful another groundhog will come their way.

The wildlife sanctuary rehabilitates animals in hopes of getting them back in the wild.
