FORT MCCOY - More than 200 Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers are in the midst of an annual, 2-week training stint at Fort McCoy.
The troops represent several different units, based in Tomah, Sparta, Black River Falls, Beloit, Viroqua and Oshkosh.
Their annual training at Fort McCoy will end on Saturday, May 19.
FOX 11's Angela Kelly and photographer Michael Raasch visited Fort McCoy on Friday, May 11 as the troops were undergoing weapons training.
They learned more about the training process, spoke with soldiers are experiencing it and even tried a Meal Ready To Eat , or MRE.

On Saturday, May 19 Fort McCoy will host an open house for the public to learn more about the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin. The public will not be able to see the training that our FOX 11 crew did, but there are plenty of other activities planned. Click here for more information.
