Ingredients:
6 to 8 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup milk
3 pieces white bread, torn into small pieces
2 1/2 pounds ground chuck
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup French fried onions
Directions:
Pour milk over bread and let sit for a minute.
Mix together beef with onion soup, bread mixture, 1 1/2 cups cheese, and all but 2 tablespoons bacon.
Form beef mixture into loaf in a foil lined 9" X 13" pan.
Spread ketchup over the top.
Bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese, remaining bacon bits and French fried onions and bake for 10 to 15 more minutes until cheese is melted and onions are toasted.
