While the holidays are fun, they can also bring on lots of food, stress and fatigue.
Chuck Marbes, owner of Better Body Fitness Bootcamps of Green Bay shares his top ten tips to get through it:
1. Don't be a back burner. Make yourself a priority and follow this list!
2. Know your surroundings. Be prepared and don't leave things to chance.
3. Don't show up to a party hungry. Never go more than 3 hours without eating.
4. Don't drink your calories. Cut out or limit alcohol consumption.
5. Avoid trigger foods -- foods that lead to binge eating
6. Get up and get out! Exercise at least 20-minutes a day.
7. Drink 3 liters or 96-ounces of water daily. It increases metabolism and aids in digestion.
8. Carry healthy snacks with you (cheese sticks, protein bars, fruit, etc.)
9. Keep it lean and green. Focus on proteins and vegetables at major meals and eat them first.
10. Don't wait until New Year's to set your goals. Start your journey today!
