SHAWANO - Thanks to a $30,000 C.A.R.D. (Comprehensive Alcohol Reduction Program) grant, the Shawano County Sheriff's Department will have more resources to combat drunk driving and underaged drinking.

The grant money will also help create awareness about the Parents Who Host Lose The Most campaign.

The sheriff's department, along with other agencies are hosting the "Ride for Life" event to create awareness about the dangers and consequences of drunk driving.

"Ride For Life" will be held Saturday, June 6th at the Shawano Sports Park in Shawano 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

FOX 11's Angela Kelly got a sneak peek at what the event will feature on Thursday's Good Day Wisconsin.
