Center to help survivors triumph

LEDGEVIEW - The organizers of Triumph Cancer Resource Center say it will be a place for cancer patients, survivors and co-survivors to get support throughout diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

The core programs will be exercise, nutrition, social networking and education.

Triumph CRC is scheduled to open in the Olde-School Square at 2200 Dickinson Rd. in January.

You’re My Rock is the Triumph CRC’s inaugural fundraiser and campaign kick-off event. It will be a community mixer spotlighting the power of support in cancer survivorship. The event will pay tribute to ten inspiring survivors and co-survivors in our community, showcasing their personal stories and sources of strength through their experiences with cancer.

Proceeds will provide seed funding for the development of the Triumph Cancer Resource Center, and help them achieve their goal to start offering ongoing programs by January 2010.
