He's a singer, songwriter, humorist and poet. Even a gardener, registered nurse and a volunteer firefighter.

But Michael Perry is perhaps best known for his bestselling memoirs: Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time and Truck: A Love Story.

Now he has a new one: Coop: A Year of Poultry, Pigs and Parenting.
