The Hiss and Howl Halloween Hullabaloo runs Saturday from 1-5pm at Paluka's Pub and Grill in De Pere.
Attendees will choose the overall “Best Costume” winner of the costume contest – which begins at 2 pm and is expected to conclude at 3:30 pm through a voting process. A judges’ panel will select the victors for “Cutest Costume,” “Scariest Costume” and “Most Original Costume.” However, many of the animals are already winners, since several contestants are either current residents of Happily Ever After (Northeast Wisconsin’s no-kill facility) or former residents who have been adopted into loving homes.
In addition, the Hullabaloo will feature a performance by Comedy City (slated to start at 3:30 pm), as well as a tattoo parlor and coloring contest for kids. There will also be a silent auction, with a variety of unique items available for bidding, and several raffles. Firelite Foto will even be on hand to take professional portraits of attendees’ and/or their pets. Starbucks coffee, Moe’s tortilla chips and salsa and a wide variety of snacks will be served free of charge, though attendees can purchase treats from the Halloween bake sale, too.
The cost of admittance to the Hiss and Howl Halloween Hullabaloo is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children; the cost to enter your pet in the costume contest is $10 per pet. .
The event serves as a fundraiser for Happily Ever After, a no-kill facility in Northeast Wisconsin.
