White Bean Dip with Bacon and Blue Cheese
Ingredients:
8 oz diced bacon
1 medium onion diced
2 tbsp minced garlic
4 cups cooked white beans
2 cups chicken broth
2 oz blue cheese
1 tbsp tarragon
8 oz diced cooked bacon
Directions:
1. in a medium sauce pot render the bacon until almost crisp and add in the bacon and onions
2. when the onions are tender add in the white beans and chicken broth
3. bring to a boil and remove from the heat
4. once it's slightly cool transfer mixture to a blender and carefully puree until smooth
5. transfer back in the sauce pot and stir in the cheese, tarragon, and cooked bacon
6. keep warm in a small crock pot and serve with crusty bread
Whiskey Marinated Beef Skewers
Ingredients:
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp ginger powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp dark chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp old bay seasoning
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1 tbsp olive oil
3/4 cups of your favorite whiskey
pinch of salt
pinch of black pepper
Sirloin, flat iron, or flank steak as needed
Directions:
1. slice the beef into strips and thread on to wood skewers
2. mix all marinade ingredients together and coat the beef skewers
3. allow to marinate for 4-6 hours, grill and serve
