Giraffes inside because of cold weather at the NEW Zoo in Suamico

Suamico - The giraffes are inside at the NEW Zoo in Suamico because of cold weather. They are moved inside their exhibit when the temperature outside is 45 degrees.

The Giraffe Discovery Center is designed as a year-round exhibit for people to learn about giraffes.

The NEW Zoo is also looking for volunteers to work at the giraffe encounter area. The volunteers will help visitors feed the giraffes and educate people about the animals.

Winter hours at the zoo begin November 1st. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday-Saturday.
