Suamico - Neil Anderson shows us how the Japanese snow monkeys are adjusting to the change in seasons at the NEW Zoo in Suamico.

The snow monkeys are the northernmost primate in the world.

The NEW Zoo has 13 of them, including 2 little snow monkeys. One is about 6 months old, and the other is about 7 months old. The young primates are working their way into the troop.

The zoo keepers have winterized the exhibit because the snow monkeys will be outside even when temperatures are below zero.

Neil also showed us the lorikeets.  These are different from other parrots because they have a different kind of tongue, which is brush-like.

Lorikeets eat pollen and nectar.
