SUAMICO - A new burrowing owl is settling in at the NEW Zoo in Suamico. The owl, named Oz, recently completed a quarantine period. The owl is now in a cage in the exhibit with another owl for introductions.
We also talked about black footed ferrets and had a special guest join Carmen Murach at the zoo.
Travis Livieri is the Executive Director of Prairie Wildlife Research. Prairie Wildlife Research was established in 2001 and is a non-profit organization with the mission to research and conserve wildlife species of the prairie and their associated habitats.
There will be a screening of the movie, "Return of the Prairie Bandit" Wednesday, June 6th at 6 p.m. at Fox Valley Technical College in room A170. The screening is free. Travis is also doing a question and answer.
Travis will also be at the NEW Zoo Thursday night.
