New wattled crane arrives at NEW Zoo in Suamico

Suamico - The NEW Zoo in Suamico has a new wattled crane.

The female crane hatched at a conservation center in northern Florida this spring. It arrived at the NEW Zoo in November.

The crane is going through a 45-day quarantine. After that it will be introduced to the male crane and go on exhibit.

The zoo hopes to restart its breeding program for the endangered bird.
