OSHKOSH - The Marquardt family of Oshkosh is headed to Atlanta this week to not only cheer on the Packers, but to cheer on their son and brother, Blake -- who has earned himself a spot in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Championships.
Nearly 4-million kids nationwide participate in NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Competitions in their respective NFL home states every year. Click here to learn how the competition works.
After winning a regional, sectional and state competition, Blake Marquardt qualified to compete in the national competition in his 12-13 year-old age group.
Blake and 39 other qualifiers from around the country will compete Saturday morning at the Georgia Dome, before the Packers take on the Falcons later that day in the playoff game.
FOX 11's Angela Kelly spent some time with Blake at the Oshkosh YMCA on 20th Avenue -- where he's been practicing for the competition. She also spoke with members of his family, who are very excited about their trip to Atlanta and all of the activities planned for them, courtesy of the NFL.
