GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team is on the heels of the best season in program history!
The team is currently 19-0, ranked 10th in the country and is off to an even better start than last year when they played in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.
FOX 11's Angela Kelly spent time with the team at the Kress Center on the campus of UW-Green Bay for Thursday's Good Day Wisconsin. Click on the video links to your left to watch as the team ran drills, shared their excitement of the season and unveiled some new uniforms for a special game at the end of February.
That game is called, "PinkZone" and will be played Saturday, February 25th against Butler at the Kress Center. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. There will also be Head Coach, Matt Bollant bobble heads given away!
There is a game this weekend, however! On Saturday, February 4th the Phoenix will host Milwaukee at 7 p.m. at the Kress Center. Fans are encouraged to donate canned food items for the 4th Annual Cellcom Canned Food Drive. Every fan who donates a canned food item will receive a reusable shopping bag.
