Ingredients
1 large garlic clove, minced
2 tsp. minced ginger
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
6 tablespoons mild honey
1 tsp chili flakes
2 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
3 lbs chicken wings
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds, lightly toasted
2 scallion, finely chopped
Directions
Put oven rack in upper third of oven and preheat oven to 425°F.
Line a large shallow baking pan (17 by 12 inches) with foil and lightly oil foil.
In a large bowl mix first seven ingredients. Add wings to sauce, stirring to coat.
Let wings sit in sauce for 15-30 minutes.
Arrange wings in 1 layer on baking pan and roast, turning over once, until cooked through, about 35 minutes. If you like the wings more sticky broil on high for an additional few minutes. This will thicken the sauce. Transfer wings to a large serving bowl and toss with sesame seeds and scallion.
