Red wolves at the NEW Zoo

SUAMICO - We're hanging out with the red wolves at the NEW Zoo this morning.

Neil Anderson explains the zoo's female wolf has been having trouble getting pregnant. Today they will tranquilize her in order to perform an ultrasound and X-rays. They are trying to determine if she has any reproductive problems that may prevent her from getting pregnant.

If it turns out the female wolf is healthy enough to carry pups, the zoo will look into swapping out their male wolf. He would go to a zoo in the western half of the country, and they would bring in another male wolf from Sioux Falls, North Dakota.
