FOX 11 reaches 5,000 Facebook 'fans'

Followers receive news updates in their home pages

    ASHWAUBENON - FOX 11 News is celebrating a social media milestone.

    The station recently reached 5,000 fans on its Facebook page . Launched last fall, the page has become the most popular social media page among Northeast Wisconsin’s major news outlets.

    “Fans” of the page receive periodic news updates throughout the day in their Facebook home pages. They can also comment on news stories and interact with the station through the page.

    Station employees celebrated the milestone with a cake baked by one of Good Day Wisconsin's producers. Employees enjoyed the cake during the annual chili cook-off.
