One hundred years ago on Nov. 10, the glee club at the University of Wisconsin-Madison performed a new song for the first time.
It would go on to become the official state song, featured in a Beach Boys tune and the subject of copyright rumors involving Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. That's just some of the history of "On, Wisconsin!" you can find at a Web site the UW set up to commemorate its 100th birthday.
You can hear historic versions of the song, some more modern versions and even submit your own performance video.
And if you need to brush up on the words - either the Badgers version or the state song version - you can also find those here.
You can find a link to the commemorative Web site, plus some more interesting trivia, at fox11online.com. Click on "Good Day WI," then on "Web Watch Links."
