GREEN BAY - September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and during the month of September, ARTgarage in Green Bay, will be featuring an art exhibit by 30 children who are fighting cancer.
Since 2009 a local non-profit organization in Brown County called Helping Elevate thru Art and Love, or HEAL, has been working with St. Vincent Hospital's Child Life department to help provide a program that helps cancer patients get through their sickness in a unique way.
The program provides art therapy sessions to young people undergoing treatment during their stay at the hospital.
The art exhibit is called "Celebrate Life". There are 50 one-of-a-kind creations on display by 30 different artists.
The artwork can be purchased and all of the money will go towards both programs, HEAL and "Celebrate Life".
