MADISON - Veterans on a nationwide bus tour to talk about climate change plan three Wisconsin stops.

One of those in the group is Appleton resident Robin Eckstein. She joined the National Guard in 1999 and served in Iraq for three months in 2003 before leaving the Guard in 2007.

The tour is sponsored by Operation Free, a coalition of veterans and others attempting to link climate change to national security threats. The group is lobbying Congress to pass legislation that cuts pollution and develops clean energy incentives.

Stops in Wisconsin were planned Friday in La Crosse, Madison and Milwaukee.
