Ingredients:
1 pkg. butter recipe yellow cake mix with pudding
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs
1-12oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup toffee bits
1 cup white vanilla chips
1/2 cup butter
32 caramels unwrapped
1-14oz. can sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In 13x9 pan, line pan with foil, overlapping edges. Spray with Pam. In bowl combine cake mix, oil and eggs, blend well. Stir in chocolate chips, vanilla chips and toffee bits. Mixture will be thick. Press 1/2 of mixture into greased and foiled pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
2. While baking, in small saucepan combine caramels, butter and condensed milk. Melt over medium low heat making sure mixture does not burn. Melt until smooth stirring often.
3. Remove partially baked crust. Slowly pour caramel mixture over baked crust. Crumble remaining cake mixture over caramel.
4. Return to oven and bake an additional 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool on counter 20 minutes. Refrigerate couple of hours and cut into bars. Bars are best tasting and easiest to cut when cooled.
