Ingredients:
3 to 4 tablespoons olive oil
2 lbs ground beef
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup seasoned Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 mozzarella string cheese sticks, each cut into a few pieces
Directions:
Combine ground beef, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, eggs, garlic salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and garlic in a large bowl. Mix to thoroughly combine all ingredients. Shape meatball mixture into meatballs, making an indent in the middle of each ball and pushing a piece of mozzarella cheese into the middle. Seal the meat around the cheese completely. Heat oil and in batches brown meatballs. Meatballs do not need to be cooked all the way. Remove meatballs to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 30 minutes until cooked through. Serve on hot cooked pasta with spaghetti sauce on top. Also great in meatball subs!
