Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 lb raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
1 lb pound penne, cooked according to package directions
4 to 6 basil leaves, chopped
Directions:
In a large skillet heat the butter. Add the shrimp to the pan and stir to coat. Cook, flipping the shrimp, until just barely pink on both sides. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds. Pour in the white wine and cream and season with salt and pepper. Stir well. Bring the mixture to a boil. Sprinkle the gorgonzola evenly over the pan. Stir to combine. Then, add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. Serve immediately with fresh basil.
