Recipe from Lindsay Brooks.
1 cup flour
Pinch salt, pepper, nutmeg
1/4 cup milk
Mix together dry ingredients. May a well and add the liquid ingredients. With a wooden spoon mix until combined. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Bring a large stock pot of water to a boil. Place spaetzle maker or large hole strainer over boiling water. Scoop batter into stained and force it though the holes with spatula. Dumplings cook in minutes. Once they are floating, drain and serve hot with butter.
