Ingredients:
2 pounds ground round beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup finely diced celery
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons flour
Olive oil (optional)
2 to 3 cups assorted frozen vegetables, slightly thawed (carrots, corn, peas, green beans)
2 to 3 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
6 to 8 cups mashed potatoes
3 to 4 tablespoons butter, cut in pieces
Directions:
In a large skillet, brown beef with onion and celery until beef is crumbly and no longer pink. Season with garlic salt and pepper. Stir in flour and if mixture is too dry, add a little olive oil. Cook a minute or two. Add worcestershire sauce and 2 cups of beef broth and cook uncovered for another few minutes until starts to thicken. Taste and season with salt and pepper, if needed. If mixture is too thick, add more broth. Stir in mashed potatoes on top. Dot with butter. Cook at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbling and potatoes get a little brown. Broil for at least few minutes if necessary to brown.
