Ingredients:

8 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate

1 cup butter

5 eggs

3 cups white sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups flour

1 tablespoon instant espresso or instant coffee

1/2 cup kahlua or coffee flavored liqueur

2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.  Grease a 9x13" pan.  In a heavy saucepan, combine butter, chocolate.  Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and well blended.  Remove from heat and set aside.  In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until thick and pale.  Stir in chocolate mixture and liqueur.  Fold in flour and instant coffee.  Stir in walnuts.  Spread evenly into pan.  Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean.  Be careful not to overbake.  Cool for at least an hour before cutting into bars and serving.
