2 pounds ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup finely diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1 ½ to 2 cups ketchup
1 cup corn
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
1 can (4 ounces) diced green chiles
1 tablespoon brown sugar
About a dozen hamburger buns
Directions:
In a large pan, cook ground beef and onion over medium high heat until beef is crumbly and no longer pink. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Season beef with a little salt and pepper. Add 1 ½ cups ketchup next 6 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer for 5 to 15 minutes until the sauce thickens to desired consistency, adding more ketchup if it needs it. Serve on buns.
