Asian Snack Mix:
2 c ups corn Chex cereal
2 cups Bugles corn snacks
1 cup chow mein noodles
1/2 cup pretzels
1/2 cup salted peanuts
3 Tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp soy s auce
1/2 pkg chow mein noodle oriental seasoning m ix (about 2 Tablespoons)
1/2 cup wa sabi coated peas
In large microwaveable boil combine Cereal, Bugles, noodles, pretzels, peanuts
In microwaveable measuring cup melt margarine for about 30 seconds or until melted. Add garlic powder, soy s auce and seasoning m ix. with wire wick un til well blended. Pour over cereal mix ture, stir ring until well coated.
Micro wave on high for approx 3 minutes, s tirring every minute. Mixture should start to look dry and crisp. Spread on paper towels to cool. Once cool, put in large bowl, then add wasabi coated peas.
Oran ge Spice Snack Mix:
1 pkg (6 o z) Bugles corn snacks
1 can (12 oz) mixed nuts or peanuts
2 e gg whites
2 Tbsp orange juice
1 1/ 3 cups sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup dried cranberries or cherries ( I used the orange flavored cranberries to bump up the orange flavor)
Heat oven to 275 degrees. Grease Jelly roll pan, or other large pan
Mix Bu gles and nuts in large bowl. Mix egg whites, or ange jui ce, sugar and cinnamon with a whisk until foamy. Pour over snack mix ture. Stir til evenly coated. Spread in pan.
Bake uncovered 35 minutes, stirring every 10 or so minutes. Stir in cranberries. bake another 10-15 minutes until light brown and crispy. Cool completely. Store in air tight container.
