Local schools win state dance titles

LA CROSSE - The state championships for high school dance teams took place in La Crosse Saturday, and Northeast Wisconsin is well represented.

Bay Port High School in Howard took first place in Division 1 Pom. In Division 2, Green Bay Southwest High School took first place. The Southwest Troyettes were the reigning state champs in D-1, but realignment moved the Troyettes to D-2 this year. Other division winners are Waupaca in D-3, Freedom High School in D-4 and Prescott won in Division 5.
