GREEN BAY - An 18-year-old man has been charged in a fatal shooting that happened Sunday night in the town of Scott.
Maxwell Majeski was charged in Brown County court Tuesday with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of 29-year-old Jeremy Moorehead.
Authorities say Moorehead and three other males had driven to Majeski’s house to confront him about an earlier incident. After an argument, Majeski allegedly shot Moorehead twice in the chest with a shotgun.
Authorities say there were a number of people home at the time of the shooting, including Majeski's parents and other family members. They also say there were several phone calls between Majeski and the group before the shooting.
Brown County Sheriff's Chief Deputy John Gossage says Majeski's father tried to stop the group, and then his son fired twice from the porch, hitting Moorehead, who was standing in the driveway. Majeski was arrested without any further incident.
Majeski will return to court later this month.
