FRANCIS CREEK - An explosion and fire leveled a home in Manitowoc County on Monday morning.
It happened around 10 a.m. at 5112 Oakwood Drive in the Village of Francis Creek.
Fire departments from surrounding areas are still on the scene. It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control.
Officials believe no one was inside at the time of the explosion. The owners were out of town and have been notified.
Authorities say nearby residents heard the explosion and called 911.
"I live a few blocks from here and you could hear like a woof, and shortly after we were paged to this area," said Doug Biely, Francis Creek Fire Department.
Officials say some windows in other buildings on the property were blown out from the explosion.
Officials are working to determine a cause.
