MADISON, Wis. (AP) - It took nearly five years for Scott Tolzien to start a game again. Then four more weeks for his first college start on the road.
Now, the junior who ascended Wisconsin's depth chart in the fall to starter faces his toughest test at Ohio Stadium against No. 9 Ohio State on Saturday.
Tolzien is completing 65.6 percent of his passes for 1,043 yards with nine TDs and three interceptions. That's good for the highest pass efficiency rating in the Big Ten and the key reason why Wisconsin is 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Wisconsin is the only major team to be undefeated and unranked. But Tolzien says the lack of ranking isn't motivation for Saturday.
