MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Outdoors lovers in Wisconsin can commune with nature free-of-charge on Sunday, June 7.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources plans a State Park Open House with free admission to all state parks, forests and trails.
That means no admission stickers will be needed on vehicles entering state parks, forests and recreation areas. Trail users, including bicyclists, inline skaters and horseback riders, won't need trail passes.
The event also coincides with Free Fishing Weekend, in Wisconsin, so no fishing license is required to fish at the many lakes and rivers located in state parks and forests.
