Businessman enters governor's race

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) - A Wisconsin Rapids businessman says he will seek the Republican nomination for governor.
Scott Paterick says Wisconsin needs a fresh face for a leader who can bring people together to solve the state's problems.
The 46-year-old Paterick is a financial adviser at The Investor's Choice in Wisconsin Rapids, served on the city council for four years in the 1980s and is now president of the city's Police and Fire Commission.
The major announced GOP candidates running for governor in 2010 are Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann.
Gov. Jim Doyle, a Democrat, is not seeking a third term, leaving the race wide open for the first time in 28 years.
