ASHWAUBENON - The candidates in the race for Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District squared off in the only debate of the campaign. The event was held at FOX 11 on Monday.

Rep. Reid Ribble (R) and challenger Jamie Wall (D) spent an hour discussing the major issues in the campaign including jobs, the economy, Medicare, health care and more. FOX 11's Robert Hornacek served as the moderator of the debate.

Ribble, who was born and raised in the Fox Valley, is currently wrapping up his first term in Congress. Before he was elected in 2010, Ribble owned his family's roofing business in Kaukauna.

Wall was born and raised in Brown County and works as a business consultant.
