Bellin shows off new ER facility

GREEN BAY - A local hospital has a new Emergency Room facility.

Bellin Health held an open house Sunday to show off its remodeled ER Pavilion on Webster Avenue in Green Bay.

The $13 million project at Bellin Hospital includes 16 patient rooms, a KidCare unit for pediatric patients and family lounge.

Bellin says the new space allows them to offer faster service for the estimated 30,000 patients it sees each year.

"In addition to all the new bells and whistles is how it's set up. the main thing is the space is just more functional," said Medical Director Dr. Paul Casey.

The remodeling project started last summer.

Bellin's old facility was built in 1953.
