APPLETON - Some people enjoyed the nice weather this Father's Day by heading to downtown Appleton for the Tour of America's Dairyland Bike Race.
College Avenue was closed off to traffic for the races, which range from amateur to professional.
Organizers say the professionals reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. And they say it feels great to bring racing back to Appleton.
"It's been years, probably at least 20 years since we've had racing in Appleton, so bringing it back was a lot of fun. I'm glad it's finally here," said event organizer, Derek Hughes.
Tour of America's Dairyland races started June 17th and run through the 27th.
