Four-year-old Charlie Knuth of Darboy is now out of intensive care following a stem cell transplant for a rare skin disease.
Charlie's mom says in an online journal that for the first time in two months she was able to hold her son.
Trisha Knuth says she even slept with her son in his hospital bed. She says his skin looks beautiful and doctors are amazed at his progress.
Charlie had his breathing tube removed Wednesday night.
