Fire damages an Omro restaurant

OMRO - An Omro restaurant sustained smoke damage in an overnight fire.

It broke out around 11 Thursday night at Las Brasas Mexican Restaurant on west Main Street.

Authorities say an officer driving by saw smoke coming out of the building.

Fire crews put it out quickly.

But officials say the fire did cause quite a bit of damage to the basement and smoke damage throughout the building.

No one was in the restaurant at the time.
