The former treasurer for the Wausaukee Rescue Squad has a plea hearing scheduled for Jan. 24.
Amanda Stumbris, 41, appeared in Marinette County Court Friday but a scheduled plea hearing was delayed, according to her attorney.
Prosecutors say she embezzled more than $132,000 over three years. According to the criminal complaint, Stumbris used a rescue squad debit card to make cash withdrawals. Investigators say she used part of the money to cover gambling expenses.
