WPS stops De Pere gas leak

DE PERE - Construction crews hit a gas line in De Pere Tuesday morning.

It happened at Lawrence Drive and Scheuring Rd. near the Shopko Distribution Center.

Wisconsin Public Service responded to the scene and quickly stopped the leak.

Rescue crews were called as a precaution and roads were blocked off.

A Wisconsin Department of Transportation official tells FOX 11 there are no injuries.

Construction crews are working on redoing the roadway in the area where the gas line break occurred.
