OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) - The next generation of commercial airliners, filmmaker George Lucas and actor Gary Sinise are visiting this year's Experimental Aircraft Association's convention in Oshkosh.
Friday is the first time the general public can tour the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the first mid-size plane capable of flying long-range routes.
There will also be a special "Salute to Veterans" parade, which will conclude with a recognition ceremony for actor and veterans' advocate Gary Sinise.
He will perform with his band later Friday night.
Lucas, who created the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises, is scheduled to introduce a preview Friday for his movie "Red Tails," which is set for release in 2012. Afterward, astronaut Gene Cernan will introduce "Apollo 13" at the Fly-in Theater.
EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh runs through Sunday.
