MADISON - Gov. Jim Doyle is celebrating golf and meat on Tuesday.

Doyle will talk about the impact of golfing and hosting the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan in the morning. He is being joined by PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka and Kohler Co. president and chairman Herb Kohler.

The PGA Championship begins Thursday and runs through Sunday.

On Tuesday night, the governor will kick off the annual meat products auction at the state fair in West Allis. That event is a fundraiser for 4-H programs in Wisconsin.

Like the PGA Championship, the fair also runs through Sunday.
