More snow in southern part of the state

MILWAUKEE - Portions of the state continued to feel the effects of Winter Storm Elijah throughout the day on Thursday.

The southern part of the state received more snowfall than other areas.

It was snowing hard in the Milwaukee area on Thursday afternoon.

There were also reports of thundersnow, amid projections of the heaviest snow of the season.

Most major highways to the south have snow. However, the driving lanes are not snow covered.
