MENASHA - Some folks in the Fox Valley received a little help Saturday in getting ready for going back to school.
The "Community Clothes Closet" held its annual distribution event Saturday afternoon in Menasha.
More than 1,800 children were able to receive new supplies free of charge.
Students were able to get new clothes for back to school as well as pens, notebooks and other needed items.
Organizers say they can see the difference the event makes for those in need.
"People are very happy, very relived, that stress has gone off from them for having to provide school supplies to their families especially now in a difficult time," said Diane Bishop, Community Clothes Closet Executive Director.
Last year the event distributed more than 50,000 items to more than 1,300 children.
